Why Oice Support Services Is a Great Place to Work

Care is more than a job. For most people who choose it, it is a vocation a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others. At Oice Support Services, we know that, and we build our culture around it. We look for people who bring compassion, reliability and a real commitment to the people they support and in return, we provide the training, the support and the working environment that lets them do their best work.

We are a CQC-rated Good provider, which means our standards are independently verified and our team works to a high professional benchmark. But beyond the inspection outcomes, what we are most proud of is the feedback we receive from our service users and families the calls and messages that tell us a carer made someone's day, or that a support worker helped someone achieve something they never thought they could.

If you are looking for a role where your work genuinely matters, where you are valued as an individual and where you have room to grow your career we would love to hear from you. Whether you are new to care or experienced, full-time or part-time, we have a role and a team that can work around your life.

A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is strongly preferred. You must have the right to work in the UK, hold a valid DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one, and be comfortable working within a clinical framework under professional supervision.

Care Manager

Key responsibilities:

Strong working knowledge of CQC inspection frameworks, safeguarding procedures and care legislation is essential. You must be eligible to work in the UK and hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate.

What We Look For in Our Team

Skills can be taught. Character cannot. Here are the qualities that make someone a great fit at Oice Support Services:

Genuine Compassion

A real desire to make a positive difference in the lives of the people you support not just a job, but a vocation.

Reliability and Punctuality

Service users depend on you arriving when you say you will. Reliability is one of the most important qualities in home care.

Good Communication

Clear, respectful communication with service users, families and colleagues including the ability to write accurate, concise visit records.

Teamwork

Care is never delivered in isolation. You need to work well with your colleagues, coordinators and the wider healthcare team around each person.

Trustworthiness

You will be working in people's homes and with vulnerable individuals. The highest standards of integrity and professional behaviour are non-negotiable.

Adaptability

Every service user is different. The ability to adapt your approach, communication style and working method to each individual is essential.

No Experience? No Problem.

Many of our best team members came to care from completely different backgrounds retail, hospitality, education, construction and beyond. What they brought was the right attitude, and we gave them everything else.

If you are new to care, here is what we provide:

  • βœ“A comprehensive paid induction before you begin working
  • βœ“Shadowing shifts with experienced carers before working independently
  • βœ“An assigned supervisor throughout your first three months
  • βœ“Full support with your DBS application at no cost to you
  • βœ“Funding for NVQ qualifications once you are ready

We are not looking for perfect CVs. We are looking for the right people.

What Our Team Says

I came to Oice with no care experience at all I used to work in retail. The induction was thorough, the support in those first months was brilliant and now three years later I am a senior carer. I genuinely love this job.

Grace

Healthcare Assistant

Working in supported living is the most rewarding thing I have ever done. Watching someone achieve independence they were told they would never have that is what keeps you going every single day.

Clement

Healthcare Assistant

The management here actually listens. If you have a concern, it is taken seriously. If you have an idea, it is considered. I have worked for agencies where you are just a number Oice is completely different.
